K-8 School F.A.M.E.
Fine Arts Mini Experience
Created and introduced by Bay Area teacher and resident, Kathryn Sherrod, the Fine Arts Mini Experience is designed to add a Fine Art curriculum to the K-8th school program. For our campus, it is equivalent to an “in-house” assembly program financially supported by OSLS P.T.O.
Currently there are three programs held each year introducing the entire student body each time to an accomplished composer and his/her style of music and historical setting, and an artist with his/her technique and artistic medium. Each classroom is treated to its own forty minute, grade appropriate presentation given in a very lively first-person style, incorporating class participation, hands-on art work, and follow up information for home.
