K-8 School Computers
This course empowers the student with the tools that are needed in today’s world. Along with teaching them the major Microsoft Office programs using the FutureKids Curriculum, they will also learn about several areas of the internet, from safety, proper usage, research tools, to how to tell if a site is a good resource.
Elementary students in grades 3rd — 5th receive one session per week in the lab. Junior High students, grades 6th — 8th receive two sessions per week. In the Junior High the computer teacher and the classroom teachers try to combine joint projects where feasible.
